Purchase Policy

We want every customer to have a clear, stress-free experience when purchasing livestock from our farm. Because raising animals requires significant time, care, and expense, the following terms help protect both our customers and our operation. Please review carefully before purchasing.

Registered Breeder Reservation:

Registered breeder animals may be reserved with a $100 non-refundable deposit due at time of purchase.
The remaining balance is due at time of pick up.

Feeder Pigs for Processing:

Feeder pigs must be purchased prior to processing and may be bought as a whole or half hog.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of purchase to reserve your animal.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days prior to the scheduled processing date.
If the remaining balance is not paid by the stated deadline, the deposit will be forfeited, and the animal may be resold at the seller's discretion.

Ownership, Care, and Risk

All animals remain the property and responsibility of the seller until they are paid in full and picked up and/or delivered to the processor.
We take great care of our livestock; however, farming involves natural variables. No guarantees are made regarding growth rate, fertility, temperament, or performance unless specifically stated in writing.
Once the animal leaves our farm or is delivered to the processor, all risk transfers to the buyer.
In the event an animal becomes seriously injured, ill, or dies prior to pickup or delivery to the processor due to illness, injury, accident, weather, predator loss, acts of God, or other circumstances outside the seller’s reasonable control, the seller’s liability shall be limited as follows:
- If a suitable replacement animal is available, the buyer may choose to transfer their purchase to a replacement animal.
- If no suitable replacement is available, the seller may, at their discretion, issue a refund of amounts paid minus the non-refundable deposit, or apply the paid amount as a credit toward a future purchase.

The seller shall not be responsible for delays, losses, or changes in processing dates caused by processor availability, transportation issues, weather events, equipment failure, or other circumstances beyond the seller’s control.

Processing & Transportation Options (Louisiana Custom-Exempt Processing)

All livestock sold for processing are sold as live animals and are intended for custom-exempt processing for the buyer’s personal use. Meat processed under custom-exempt rules is not inspected by USDA and may not be resold.

Customers may choose one of the following options:

Customer Pickup & Processor of Choice

Customers may pick up their animal from our farm and transport it to the custom-exempt processor of their choosing.
The animal must be paid in full prior to pickup.
Ownership of the animal transfers to the buyer once paid in full, and all risk transfers to the buyer once the animal leaves our farm, including during transportation and processing.
Customers are responsible for confirming processor availability, scheduling, and fees directly with their chosen processor.

Courtesy Delivery to Our Preferred Custom-Exempt Processor

As a convenience, we offer courtesy delivery to our preferred custom-exempt processor for an additional $50 service fee.
This service is provided solely as a courtesy and does not include control over processor scheduling, processing timelines, cut options, or final product outcome.
Ownership of the animal transfers to the buyer once paid in full.
All risk transfers to the buyer once the animal is delivered to the processor.
Processing fees are the responsibility of the customer and are paid directly to the processor unless otherwise stated in writing.

Important Custom-Exempt Processing Disclosures

Processing dates are subject to processor availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Custom-exempt processed meat is for the buyer’s personal use only and may not be sold or redistributed.
We take all reasonable care of our animals; however, livestock handling and processing involve inherent risks. No guarantees are made regarding final yield, cut size, or processing outcomes unless stated in writing.

Agreement Acknowledgment

By submitting a deposit or payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the terms of this Purchase Agreement.
